Update on 20MPH zone

As discussed in our Parish Council Meeting on 7th November, and as part of our efforts to make Ansty High Street and the surrounding lanes safer for all, plans for a 20mph restriction are at an advanced stage with implementation scheduled for early in the New Year. A consultation on the plans will be published in due course.

St James’s Church Closed for 6 months ( 28th November 2024)

From Monday, 25th November 2024, St James’ Church will be closed for six months whilst our contractor works on essential repairs, required by the architect following our five-yearly inspection. The PCC is also pleased to reveal that an important expert will be working on the tiled floor, to make it good, reconstruct and refresh the existing Victorian tiles. As custodians of the Grade II church, this project is our gift to the village for future generations. The designs and plans will be on display for all to see at the Carol Service

The total cost to the PCC of this important project is £80,000, which includes £25,000 towards the expert repair of the tiled floor.

We would be very grateful for any donations that you could contribute to the Fabric Fund to help to preserve our iconic parish church.
